Hi Everyone.

Please take note that the first MGSE practice will be held on Wed, 9th Jan 08, 230-530pm at the Music Centre (MEP Rooms). Please refer to the notice board for the new duty groupings.

Also, if any of you see me online, please tell me which class you will be in next year (Sec 3'08s can ignore this). Or simply just sms me or tag on the board below. Preferably before 2nd Jan.

For those of you who have not received your scores yet, I will be passing it to you on 2nd Jan or you can drop by my class, 3M, and collect it from me (between 710-720am).

Thanks and enjoy the rest of 2007! (:

Laura.

Hihi! Alright I hope you had a nice Christmas. Anyway, I'm here to wish you a Happy Belated Merry Christmas and to re-re advertise about a concert.

Give your ticket orders to Deborah via email (retardogram@hotmail.com) or in person, or on her tagboard.

Lightsabers and Spitfires (In today's Life!)

6 January 2008, Sunday
The Republic Cultural Centre
5pm, Tickets $16 (stalls) and $13 (circle)

Walton- Prelude and Fugue from 'The Spitfire'
Gershwin- Rhapsody in Blue [Albert Lin]
John Williams- Star Wars Suite

It'd be good to go, as you can see, the programme is rather nice.
And I'll be playing the harp in the orchestra.
And Mr Chan will be concertmaster.

I'm sure it'd be a nice surprise for him if majority of MGSE go (:

Let her know!

Laura.

Hey everyone!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! And may you all have a blessed 2008. =)

From,
Rachel

Hihi again!

Sorry for that rather brief post below.

Please note that the concert is still tentative, though we're really hoping it can be confirmed soon, still waiting for our TIC to get back to us.

Anyway, Christmas is in 2 days, so remember to have fun on that day, and don't bother touching your instruments (o.O) Haha! Okay that was lame. Yup also, you may want to listen to Saint-Saens Violin Concerto No.3 in B Minor, it's one of the nicest pieces (: But only a small section of its on the blog so go search Naxos or something.

Anyway, It's the end of a season, and the beginning of the next. 2008 awaits! (: So remember to practice hard after Christmas, and look forward to receiving your scores, which I'd be giving out on the first day of school (hopefully) so you can either tell me your class via MSN/SMS or drop by mine during recess or before school (3M) which is, if I'm not wrong, the class on the 1st level, nearest to the canteen.

See you around!

Laura.

Hello!! The HCISO people invited us to their chalet on 23 December, Sunday probably in

the afternoon or evening at East Coast Park. Do tell me if you can make it! Maybe just tag

at the tagboard to say that you can make it.

Thanks!

Hey everyone! HCISO invites us to their Christmas bbq gathering.
Date: 23 December, evening
Venue: East Coast Park

More details at a later time! (: I don't think you'll need to bring anything, but will tell you more nearer the date!

Blessed Christmas (:

love ahma.

Hey MGSE,

1. for those who don't know what the 20 July concert is about, it means you've not been listening during ensemble. tsktsk. anyway, this concert came about, because mr. chan thinks we're ready for our own concert. it was originally planned to be in june, but is now pushed to 20 July because of some SNYO thing.

2. laura suggested that we should have a chamber concert too; that means not a concert as a whole entire ensemble, but with small groups, like quartets, quintets etc. those kind. at first it was suggested that we have it in April, but i think if it was in April, the sec4s wouldn't be able to participate so much, 'cos O levels is earlier i think. SO we might have it in December instead.

take note tho, that none of this is as yet confirmed. i still have to get through the indomitable barriers before we can set anything in stone, okay? (: yep but please give your opinions about this...like whether you want it or not, when you want it, or any suggestions. yep, i really want to know what all of you think about it before i risk my life to ask mrs chan. (: thanks!

have a blessed holiday! don't slack too much! (: practice your violin/viola/cello/double bass!

love. ahma (:

Hi everyone, hope you're all enjoying your holidays! Anyway, our strings concert will be held at Singapore conference hall on 20 July, Sunday- 7.30pm. Please take note, thank you! =)
