Hello everyone!! This is the Pasir Ris Park map. Click on the picture to enlarge it. I've circled the bicycle kiosks in red so that's where we'll all meet! As you can see, they are quite nearby so you can choose which would be more convenient for you. (: Don't worry, there'll be a comm member waiting for you at both bicycle kiosks so call me if you're going to be late! For mgstrings people and our seniors!! (: Just posting what I've sent through email. (:

Hello everyone!!!

There'll be a strings outing held on 30 December, Tuesday, 8.30 am- 1 pm at Down Town East, Pasir Ris Park! Meet at any bicycle kiosk at Pasir Ris Park. Since there're only 2 and they're nearby (: We're going to have some fun together as an ensemble! (: We'll be cycling/rollerblading, picnic-ing and probably fly a kite/play by the beach and lunch if possible. Do come earlier in case you get lost, especially if you're taking your own public transport cause I'm not familiar with the place myself. So, do bring along:

1. Money to rent a bike (unless you're rollerblading which you'll have to bring your own skates) approx $20+ (including money for food/drinks and last minute stuff)
2. Slippers (for those rollerblading)
3. Picnic mat
4. Umbrella
5. Water bottle
6. Packed food (like sandwiches, chips etc.)
7. Phone/Camera

Optional
8. Kite
9. Cap
10. Mosquito repellent
11. Sun block
12. Change of clothes
13. Towel

Altogether, it should be compressed into a backpack. Don't be late! On that day if you're going to be late, do call me/sms me immediately. My number is 8*******. If it rains, we'll meet at the same place and go bowling or do something else instead!

hi!

rachel wants me to post, so i shall...

but there's nth really to post right? hmm.. syf costume! dark blue's nice, but its used by the guitar ensemble ): how sad. black? too common??

anyway.

PRACTICE your violin viola cello bass! all the repeated notes should be very clear so that ppl can hear its a march. and don't forget to play with feeling! its very important! music without feeling is nothing at all. (:

oh and when we play, i think it will be good to MOVE. feel every beat! and ENJOY the music! if ppl can tell we enjoy it theyll enjoy it too!
