YAY!!! Our new strings comm!!

President: Xi Yun
Vice president: Hui Xian and Kyu Ri

Quarter Mistress: Jean Chan
Assistant: Nadene Law

Librarian: Yi Xin
Assistant: Christine Tan

Treasurer: Sarah Ann Moh

Everyone in strings has a part to play so even though you're not in the comm, it doesn't mean that you're not important! Cause everyone has the responsibility to DO DUTY. Which brings me to the point that NO ONE DID DUTY TODAY!!! (After strings) So yes, that shall not happen again!

Congrats to the new strings comm!! (:

Love,
Rachel (:

HIHI!!
ok im kinda embarrassed now,cos most of the posts are by the sec 4s and mostly mostly by rachel(except one by christine) and i erm...am posting...???yeah.i sort of got bored, so i decided to post!yay(:
anyways, CONGRATULATIONS TO MGSE FOR BEING CHOSEN TO PERFORM FOR THE SYF NIGHT(is that what its called?)!!! i can still feel the excitement i felt when i first heard the news!!!!!
i think we really deserve to be chosen, because i feel all of us really, really put in a LOT of effort! and the committee and the section leaders especially put in extra extra effort to bring the ensemble together as an.. ENSEMBLE!(i.e. thanks to jia ying, we answered the "ENSEMBBBBB!!!!!!what do you want to get for SYF???" a million times and thanks to rachel, we listened to a lot of *ahem* "prep talks"/"inspirational talks"! and.....thanks to jia ying(again) and hui xian, we actually did our duty, and thanks to ze hwee and xi yun, we didn't lose that many scores!)
yupp. also, i think the Gold we got was a blessing in disguise, cos after the disappointment, the joy(of the news) was double the amount! imagine we got Gold with Honours, i dont think we would have been so happy with the fact that we were chosen to perform at the Esplanade. we would probably have taken the opportunity for granted.
ok i think im boring everyone to death, so i shall stop writing more nonsense, but i want to say...
MG STRINGS RULES!!!!!!!WHOOOOOOO(:
love,
kyuri

p.s: good luck for elections tomorrow everyone!!(:

Hey mgstrings!!! (:

Once again, we've reached the time of the year where we have to vote for a group of leaders to lead us through the year 2009-2010. And that group of leaders will be our new strings comm!!

These are our nominees:
Sec 3
1. Chan Hui Xian
2. Claire Teng
3. Jean Chan
4. Lim Jia Le
6. Lin Siyan
7. Ling Xi Yun

Sec 2
1. Alene Ang
2. Chan Yi Xin
3. Christine Tan
4. Kim Kyu Ri
5. Lai Yi Ern
6. Nadene Law
7. Sarah Ann Moh

Each of you (including training people) have to write who you want as president (must be sec3) followed by two other names of people whom you want to be in the comm (must include at least one sec2 person). And write all three names on a small piece of paper. Please write what level you're in at the bottom of the paper.

DON'T FORGET TO BRING IT ON WEDNESDAY!!! And report at 2.15pm on wednesday!! (:

Please choose wisely cause each vote makes a difference. The elected committee will have a great impact on your future in strings. (: And for the sec 4s, I'm sure you want mgstrings to do really well in the future too! If you love mgstrings, treat this seriously! NO WASTED VOTES!! Don't try to be funny and hand in a blank piece of paper or draw a huge smiley face. It's not cool.

For those who are one of the nominees, please feel free to vote for yourself! There's nothing to be shy about. If you feel that you are capable of leading strings then go ahead! A true leader will dare to say "follow me!".

With that, I leave all of you with the responsibility to vote for the mgstrings comm 2009-2010.

Choose wisely! (: And hand in your votes to me this wednesday, 3 June. (Make sure you fold the piece of paper)

Thanks and See you!!
Rachel Chua (:
